The film was directed by Shree Narayan Singh and is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner Aditya Chopra Productions. It is a remake of 2015 Malayalam film of the same name. Synopsis: Ashok Kumar Chaubey (Akshay Kumar) is a romantic and is in love with Gayathri Bijlani (Bhumi Pednekar). Gayathri is a middle-class woman who is housewife. She lives with her family and is loved by her husband Purshottam Bijlani (Divyendu Sharma). But she falls for Ashok and her first love. He also falls in love with her. Gayathri and Purshottam's daughter Sneha (Shashaa Tomar) enters their life.
